What's the Use???

If you find yourself wanting to give up because of your medical conditions, please do not despair.  After days, weeks, months and in many cases years of depending on pharmaceuticals just to survive, you may reach a point where you just don't care any more.  I know, because there were times that I just felt like giving up, and then I realized - what's the alternative?  So I continued on my quest to find a way to rid my life of the pharmaceuticals and now live today medicine-free.

Does this mean that what I've done may work for you?  Only you can answer that question.  You know what your motivations are as well as your limitations.  Do what is best for your life at this point in time, and remember that you can always change your mind.  I'd like to give you a gift which may help you immensely.  The gift is a free ebook, over 400 pages written by John Austin, entitled "The Causes of Over 200 Diseases."  Mr. Austin is a Certified Nutritionist, Health Researcher and Author, who is the consultant to the company "Joy to Live".  So first, click on this link for your free gift:

Then, for product information, visit the website

Here's an excerpt from John Austins Book,The Cause of Over 200 Diseases,  page 203:  " The nutrients in Fulvia turn on 52 youth hormones. It helps repair all of the cells in the body including bone, cartilage, muscles, skin, organs, nerves and even DNA. DNA contains the blueprint for the entire organ, which means when DNA is repaired, organs can be replaced as long as there is one living cell.
Experts say it is impossible to get sick when you have a clean, healthy liver. A healthy liver can immediately wipe out any disease organism, but only when it has adequate minerals."

The product does not cure any diseases per se.  Rather, it assists the body in returning to a state of health where the body is able to do what it was originally intended to do --- heal itself!  The more you read about the causes of disease and gain understanding, the easier it is to adapt a lifestyle which enables your body to heal.

Remember, the journey to health is a gradual one.  Since health does not deteriorate overnight, allow your body sufficient time to return to health.  Taking minerals are but one facet - a very powerful facet - of your journey.  More information to follow in subsequent posts.  Feel free to email me with your questions or comments, or just for moral support.  Your comments are appreciated below.

If this information has been of benefit to you, please share it with others!

Commit to Being Healthy

When you think of being committed to something such as a relationship or a job, what do you think about?  I would dare say that you think of how much it means to you, how you would not want to lose it, and what you may have to do to keep it.  For instance, in a romantic relationship, you know that in order to sustain it you much do things such as spend time with the person, be nurturing, think of and plan for the future, be kind to the object of your love in thought, word and deed, be responsible....the list is endless.  When you think of your commitment to a job/business that you really want and desire to keep, you would consider things such as being responsible, being present when you are supposed to be, future growth and sustainability, customer service, and the list goes on.

Now let's talk about your health.  If you were diagnosed with "so-called" diabetes, and you are committed to reversing the condition and living a normal, happy, healthy life, then you may have to commit to certain acts such as:

  • An exercise routine.  Check with your doctor to determine whether you have any physical limitations in regards to exercise, and then have a routine tailored to your capabilities.  If you are ambulatory, walking is always a good start.  Also consider yoga or tai chi which have great calming effects among other benefits.  Find a physical activity which you enjoy, and be committed to incorporate it into your weekly routine.
  • How's your diet???  Ok, I know how challenging it may be to alter a diet which you may have been accustomed to for years, however in your commitment to reverse diabetes and live a normal, happy, healthy life, you may really have to take a good, hard look at what you are eating.  Does your diet consist primarily of fresh fruits and vegetables (preferably organic)?  If not, try adding fresh fruit and vegetables to your daily diet, while eliminating one or two types of processed foods.  Everyone is different so there's no magic formula as to how you should progress in order to be successful.  On a personal note, I am vegetarian, however it took me several years before I actually eliminated all meat, poultry and seafood from my diet. Always check with a licensed medical professional before making any drastic alterations to your diet, and then proceed at a comfortable pace so that you can gradually realise success.  This way, you are more likely to stick with it as opposed to attempting a "crash diet." Also, your metabolism will thank you for not shocking it!
  • Let's talk about spirituality.  Do you have a spiritual discipline which allows you to feel at peace and motivated?  Do you pray daily and meditate?  Seek and adopt a spiritual discipline if you do not have one.  It is what I consider a mandatory survival tool.  Include prayer and meditation in your commitment package.
Speak your commitment aloud and write it down.  Place "post-it" notes on your refrigerator, in the bathroom, bedroom, anywhere which when you see the notes, you are reminded of your commitment to health.  You can do this.  The Universe will support you in any good act.  Until next time, I wish you love, light and radiant health.

Gut Bacteria Could Cause Diabetes

Greetings everyone,

Take a look at this brief video which I've linked to. The researchers are claiming that bacteria in the gut may cause diabetes.  It's worth taking a look at.  I believe that the food which we take in, especially meat and poultry, may contribute to having the gut bacteria; especially if it is not properly cooked.  Just a thought.  Anyway, enjoy the video.

This  morning my husband and I did our usual 5K run at Prospect Park (I jogged and walked more than I ran).  If you live in the NYC area and wish to join our  Sunday morning team, send me an email.  Wear comfortable clothing, and most importantly, comfortable running shoes.  Namaste

Heal at your Own Pace

Yesterday I met a woman in her late 30's who shared with me that she was diagnosed with diabetes 5 years ago.  For privacy, I will refer to her as "Jean."

Jean approached me at my display for the Natural Organic Diabetes Solution Supplement.  I immediately noticed that she was drinking a popular soft drink (name withheld) and she also had a pack of cigarettes in her hand.  Jean asked me whether the product worked, and before answering, I asked whether she was currently on prescription medication.  She stated that she currently uses Insulin and Metformin.  I then asked whether her goal was to become healed to the point where she would no longer require the medication, and she stated "yes."

I talked with Jean about the need to increase her intake of water if she chose to continue smoking cigarettes, since cigarettes are known to dehydrate the body.  Those with blood sugar challenges need the body to remain hydrated.  At that point, Jean appeared to become uncomfortable, and I explained to her that healing is an individual journey.  The Natural Organic Diabetes Solution Supplement has been reported by those who have used it (including myself) to lower the blood glucose levels in as little as three days.  Results vary according to your body's own metabolism, along with your eating habits, daily stress levels and various other factors such as your belief and determination.  Note that the products is not FDA evaluated and no claims of healing are being made.

There is another key factor in your journey to health.  Do you have a support system?  Do you have a team of medical professionals?  By a team of medical professionals, I am referring to licensed medical doctors as well as naturopathic doctors.  Your team should be comprised of those who also believe that "so-called" diabetes can be reversed and ultimately cured, and they should be willing to encourage and work with you throughout the process.  Each Saturday, I conduct a free support group in the NYC area for those who have blood sugar challenges (notice I am avoiding labeling you as diabetics).   Add to your healing arsenal prayer, meditation, affirmations and visualization, and you have tools to propel you to success.  I would be remiss if I overlooked other natural healing modalities such as Reiki (Universal Life Force Healing Energy) and NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming).

Getting back to Jean, I have high hopes for her healing.  She was upfront by stating that she has to improve her eating habits, and she is aware that smoking is a "no-no."  I find that people who are upfront as opposed to being in denial tend to heal at a faster rate.

More to come in future entries.  Until then, believe in your healing.  You CAN reverse and heal diabetes.

Take Control of your Health

Do you have a tendency to simply accept what others are telling you regarding your body?   Do you take other's advice?  In itself, that may not be such a bad thing to do, however before taking other people's advice regarding your health, it's a good idea to consider the source.  Who is giving you the advice?  Is it your doctor, or is it a friend, relative, television commercial, article from a magazine, co-worker....you get the idea.

There are very few people who can actually tell you what is best for your body, especially if you are dealing with a medical condition which they have not personally experienced.  It is amazing the way so many medical doctors prescribe medication, yet do not have any idea whatsoever of how that medication will affect you personally, until you contact them with your feedback.

That being said, this is not an attempt to discredit the medical profession, rather, I wholeheartedly suggest that you pay attention to your body and be prepared to accurately describe exactly what you are feeling when you speak with your doctor.  There are many conditions which technology can detect, however sometimes you have to use common sense when taking prescription medication.  Your body will usually give you indications as to whether the prescription is too strong, or whether it is rejecting whatever you are using.  Listen to your body.  Don't discount any of your feelings, especially the ones which are reoccurring.  Sometimes you have to be proactive and let your doctor know that there is a possibility that the dosage of your prescription may need to be adjusted, or perhaps changed altogether.

Of course, I am advocating for natural cures, however be clear that a decision to rid yourself of prescription medication is solely yours.  Also, choosing natural cures as opposed to allopathic treatment is something which I strongly suggest that you do under the direction of a licensed professional, and it should be a gradual transition.

I was using insulin and oral medication for just about two months before I began my transition to natural cures (homeopathic).  The decision was easy for me because I had already made up my mind at the point of being diagnosed with diabetes that I did not have any space in my life for medication.  Everyone progresses at their own rate and therefore I ask that you please do not compare yourself with anyone else.  Your journey is yours, and yours alone.  There is no judgement involved here.  You ultimately must feel comfortable with your decisions so that you do not add undue stress to your situation.

I was using herbal remedies along with the insulin.  I noticed that each week, my blood sugar readings were gradually decreasing.  I stayed in touch with my medical doctor weekly.  I did not share with her the fact that I was using the herbal remedies along with the insulin.  She kept advising me to decrease the insulin by 5 units each week.  (I was originally prescribed 40 units at bedtime and 25 units after each meal.)  I could hear the surprise in my doctor's voice each time I reported my progress to her!  Finally, I was able to discontinue the insulin, but was told I needed to take oral medication (Glipizide).

I knew that the oral medication would be short lived because from the onset, it made me feel as though I was going crazy - literally!  The oral medication gave me heart palpitations, headaches, and I walked around feeling as though my head was detached from my body.  It was unbelievable.  I recall talking with a woman who, even though we've known each other several years, I did not know she was diabetic.  I recall her telling me as though it were yesterday, that she did not take her medication every day because "those pills can kill you."  When I described to her the way  I was feeling, she suggested that I have the dosage reduced and/or take the pills every other day instead of daily.  I tried this and it helped somewhat, however I still did not feel well.

At that point, I began using supplements designed to regulate the blood sugar and saw almost immediate results.  I stopped using the oral medication completely a couple of weeks after starting the supplements, and have been prescription medication free ever since.

Again, I cannot stress the importance of working closely with a licensed medical practitioner.  In addition, it is important to continue testing daily.  I still test daily, however I only test once/day now instead of three times per day.  It is also important to have the A1C test done routinely.  I have this test administered every few months.  My last A1C result was 6.3.  This is an incredible decline from the original 13 when I was hospitalized in December 2009.  As you are aware, the range for a healthy blood glucose reading is around 6.  I am quickly approaching the normal state.

There are many factors involved in taking control of your health.  Diet and exercise are key components.   Do you drink plenty of water each day?  Your level of stress can make or break your efforts to reverse diabetes.  Do you have a spiritual orientation?  Do you pray or meditate?  Do you visualize yourself being in perfect health?  How is your home environment?  Are you able to relax at home?   Here is a youtube video which I enjoy for relaxation.  I hope you enjoy it as well. Just click the link below to view the video.

More to come.  I look forward to your comments and I am glad for the opportunity to share my journey with you.  Much love to all,
